S . A . F. E . Forum

The S.A.F.E. (Substance Abuse Free Environment) Forum is an annual multi-stakeholder conference hosted by Project VENDA in commemoration of International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. This unique and strategic effort enables stakeholders to understand their role in creating a safe environment for the children.

The success of two editions of the S.A.F.E. Forum inspired the World Federation Against Drugs (WFAD) in Sweden and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) to entrust us with hosting the first ever Asian Regional Forum Against Drugs 2019 (ARFAD), held at Kochi from 25 – 27 September 2019.

120 international participants and key stakeholders from 48 countries came together to share, understand and plan on how to work together.

The forum brought together civil society members, key decision-makers and practitioners. We were successful in sharing best practices and drafting country-level recommendations for combating narcotics and drugs.
